What data is used in Dataro's benchmarks?

Dataro's benchmarks use aggregated fundraising data from our clients around the world (except for clients that opt-out).

What benchmarks are available? 

We publish the following benchmarks:

• All organisations - all Dataro clients (unless they have opted out)
• Country - all Dataro clients assigned to your country
• Fundraising revenue - organisations with similar gross fundraising revenue
• Number of active donors - organisations with a similar number of active donors
• Organisation cause - all Dataro clients are categorised into one of the following areas:
  • Healthcare
  • Higher Education
  • Social & Public welfare
  • Faith & Religion
  • Arts & Culture
  • Human Rights
  • Animal Welfare
  • Environment
  • Hospices

How often are benchmarks updated

Benchmarks are updated daily. When you analyse your performance in a report and apply a benchmark, it is using the latest data from our clients to compare. 

Can I identify specific organisations from benchmarks or select specific organisations to benchmark against?

No. There is no way to identify a specific organisation's data from benchmarks and we do not allow our clients to select specific organisations to compare against.
