CRM Queue: What Happens When You Push to Your CRM
The CRM Queue tab tells you whether an audience reached your CRM, and why it did not if the push failed.
CRM Queue is not an audience type. It is the status board for every audience you have pushed from Dataro to your CRM, and it is the only place the reason for a failed push is recorded. If a list did not turn up where you expected it, we recommend checking this tab before you check your CRM.
You will find it as the fourth tab on the Audiences page at app.dataro.io/v3.
What do the statuses mean? When you push an audience to your CRM, it appears here as a row with a status:
- Queued means the push has been accepted and is waiting its turn to process, so nothing is wrong and it has not started yet.
- Processing means the push is running now. Larger audiences sit here longer.
- Pushed / Success means the audience landed in your CRM and you can use it there.
- Failed means it did not make it, and the row will tell you why once you open it.
Each row is a push event rather than an audience, so the same audience can appear several times if you have pushed it more than once. Read the queue as a history of attempts.
Checking a pushTo check whether a push landed:
- Push your audience to your CRM from wherever you are working.
- Open the Audiences page from the sidebar and select the CRM Queue tab.
- Find your push in the list. The most recent attempts are the ones to look at.
- Read the status. Queued and Processing mean the push is still in progress, and Pushed / Success means the audience has landed.
- If the status is Failed, click into the row to see the reason for the failure. When a CRM push goes wrong, the explanation is recorded here, and reading it is faster than searching your CRM for what is missing.
Audience publishing depends on your CRM connection, so what you can push and where it lands varies by system. We recommend checking what your own connection supports before you plan a campaign around it.
Frequently asked questions
My push says Failed. What should I do first?
Click into the row and read the reason before you try again. Most failures come back with something specific and actionable, and repeating the same push without reading the reason will usually produce the same result.
How long should a push take?
It depends on the size of the audience and your CRM connection, so a small list can move through in moments while a large one sits in Processing for a while. If a push has been stuck for an unusually long time, raise it with your CSM rather than pushing again and creating a duplicate.
Can I push the same audience twice?
Yes, and each attempt gets its own row in the queue. Be aware of what that means in your CRM, though, because pushing the same audience repeatedly may create duplicate lists or segments depending on how your connection is set up.
Does a successful push mean the audience will keep updating in my CRM?
A push is a point-in-time transfer of the audience as it stood when you pushed it. If your audience is dynamic and membership has moved since, your CRM will still hold the version you sent. Push again when you want your CRM to catch up.
Is CRM Queue where I go to build or edit an audience?
No. It is read-only status information. Build and manage audiences on the Saved and Tracked tabs, then come here to confirm what happened when you sent one out.
