While ProspectAI is smart, it isn’t perfect. Errors can arise using any AI tool, and in the case of ProspectAI, these commonly take one of two forms:
- The original source might have an error (e.g., a typo or wrong value); or
- a source is wrongly attributed to the prospect (e.g., an annual report lists someone with the same name with no other details).
In addition, you might have also come across a source that should be attributed to the prospect, but doesn’t appear in the source list. This can happen for a number of reasons.
To correct this, you can edit reports in two ways.
- Editing sources
- At the bottom of each report is the list of sources used to generate the report. By clicking “edit”, you can make changes to this list.
- First, you can “delete” a source, which removes it from consideration.
- You can also add a source by pasting a URL in the text box. If the source contains relevant information, it will be accepted as a new source for the report.
- Once you have finished adding and deleting sources, click “save and regenerate” to regenerate the report. Any manual edits you make (see below) will persist.
- Finally, you can “accept” a source - this confirms that a source is correct and is used to improve the product.
- Editing the report in-line
- There may be cases where you want to fix typos or incorrect data points in the report. To start, click on a field that you would like to edit.
- There are three actions available to you: accept, override, and restore.
- By default, values that are purple have yet to be verified by a human. Clicking “accept” will change the text to black, and indicates that you have verified the field. Clicking “override” allows you to fill in your own value; the text will turn black after. Finally, clicking “restore” on a field that you have previously corrected will revert it to the original AI-researched value.
