Editing / Correcting ProspectAI reports

While ProspectAI is smart, it isn’t perfect. Errors can arise using any AI tool, and in the case of ProspectAI, these commonly take one of two forms:

  1. The original source might have an error (e.g., a typo or wrong value); or
  2. a source is wrongly attributed to the prospect (e.g., an annual report lists someone with the same name with no other details).

In addition, you might have also come across a source that should be attributed to the prospect, but doesn’t appear in the source list. This can happen for a number of reasons.

To correct this, you can edit reports in two ways.

  1. Editing sources
    1. At the bottom of each report is the list of sources used to generate the report. By clicking “edit”, you can make changes to this list.
    2. First, you can “delete” a source, which removes it from consideration.
    3. You can also add a source by pasting a URL in the text box. If the source contains relevant information, it will be accepted as a new source for the report.
    4. Once you have finished adding and deleting sources, click “save and regenerate” to regenerate the report. Any manual edits you make (see below) will persist.
    5. Finally, you can “accept” a source - this confirms that a source is correct and is used to improve the product.
  2. Editing the report in-line
    1. There may be cases where you want to fix typos or incorrect data points in the report. To start, click on a field that you would like to edit.
    2. There are three actions available to you: accept, override, and restore.
    3. By default, values that are purple have yet to be verified by a human. Clicking “accept” will change the text to black, and indicates that you have verified the field. Clicking “override” allows you to fill in your own value; the text will turn black after. Finally, clicking “restore” on a field that you have previously corrected will revert it to the original AI-researched value.
