Important Changes Relating to Salesforce Connected Apps Operations (August 2025)

From September 2025, Salesforce will restrict the use of uninstalled connected apps in Salesforce org. We recommend you review the Salesforce documentation and "Install" the Dataro Connected app as part of that process.

Salesforce advised that they are making changes to how connected apps operate. Specifically they are restricting the use of uninstalled connected apps in Salesforce org, starting in early September. 

We have reviewed the documentation and believe that Dataro is unlikely to be affected by the changes.

However, we believe it would be prudent for your Salesforce Administrator to review the documentation and "Install" the Dataro Connected app as part of that process.

As you work through these changes, we suggest that you take the following steps:

  1. In Setup, find and select Connected Apps OAuth Usage.
  2. If you see DataroPartnerConnect, then review the Action column. If an app is uninstalled, the action column displays an "Install" button.
  3. Click "Install". Salesforce displays an installation page. Click "Install" again.

If you are not currently using the Dataro Salesforce connected app, then you may disregard these instructions.
