Users with legacy Dataro accounts may not have donor contact details visible in the platform and will have limited access to some features. If your account does not have donor contact details enabled, rather than seeing donor full names, email addresses, phone numbers, and street addresses on contact records or in audiences, by default you will only see donor first names and contact IDs. You will need to return to your CRM to access your full donor contact information.
Enabling donor contact details unlocks additional features and capabilities within your Dataro account, including:
Better audience building and campaign creation
Dataro’s Audience Builder allows you to build and segment audiences directly in Dataro. With donor contact details enabled, you can build campaign files (e.g. email, mail or telemarketing lists) and export them directly from the platform to your other systems or vendors, complete with all of the necessary donor contact information.

Improved Individual Donor View
When you view a donor record in Dataro, you’ll now be able to see exactly who they are, rather than toggling back and forth between Dataro and your CRM. If you have integrated an email marketing platform (see below) you’ll also see a complete view of their donor journey and interactions with your organization, including online and offline fundraising.
Email marketing tool integrations
With donor contact details enabled, you’ll have the opportunity to connect your email marketing platform (Mailchimp integration available now). Dataro can then combine data from your two systems to provide a better overview of your donors’ interactions with you and allow you to filter lists based on both online and offline fundraising and engagement data.
Additional predictive models
Contact details are required for any email marketing integration. Once your email marketing platform is connected, you can access Dataro’s First Gift Model for converting email subscribers to donors, and Interest Areas tool to understand the topics each contact cares about the most.
Online advertising integrations
Connecting your Meta & Google Ads accounts allows you to push audiences directly from Dataro into those platforms. When contact details are enabled, you can push a targeted list of contacts either for direct advertising (e.g. running digital ads alongside an appeal) or to build new lookalike audiences for donor acquisition.
