Set your Midlevel and Major giving thresholds

The midlevel and major giving thresholds set in Dataro define what your organization considers a midlevel or major gift, for purposes of accurate reporting and donor classification. These thresholds are set during your onboarding, but as your mid-value and major giving programs grow and change, you may need to update the thresholds for your Dataro subscription.

To adjust the threshold settings for your organization:
  1. Click on Settings from the main menu, and select the Mid and Major Donor Thresholds section
  2. Set your minimum value for a midlevel gift. You can choose between ($/£/€) 500 or ($/£/€)1,000 as the minimum threshold for mid-value
  3. Set your maximum threshold for a midlevel gift. You may choose between ($/£/€) 5,000 or ($/£/€) 10,000 as the maximum threshold for mid-value
  4. Set your minimum value for a major gift. Choose between ($/£/€) 5,000 or ($/£/€) 10,000 as the minimum threshold.
  5. Use the final tickbox to choose whether your midlevel definition includes recurring giving donations.
  6. Once saved, your updates will be reflected in Dataro's reports overnight. Your donor predictions are updated on weekly basis and the next update will take into account the changes you have made. You can also learn more about the update under Scheduled Processes in the app.
